Exceptional caring administration and clinical team ! Took the best care of my husband and myself that anyone could ask for – and I’m an RN many years . The staff Toni Lashonda Azam Emily Roberta and so many others are all exemplary! Great support for physical therapy speech therapy occupational therapy- dieticians are wonderful as well ! Cannot say enough good things the experience was exceptional.

We are here after a near tragedy of health for my sister. The care here by every single human has been over the top, especially in the activity room!

I personally have enjoyed the staff here. They care for the people, under their care, are professional and have been so loving and friendly.

The team here is hard working, compassionate and truly love what they do! They are like one big family and they treat their residents & their families like family!

If you are reading this, it probably means you are looking for a care facility. If that’s the case, this is not the place. First, for a facility that primarily cares for older adults who wear diapers, I was surprised that they did not have ointment for diaper rash or bed sores. I ended up buying my own because their care team likes to argue when you try to explain why your family member may try to take off their diaper and clean themselves they don’t want their rash to get worse. Honestly, I think every senior care facility should have basic supplies like this readily available. It’s just common sense. The care team is also extremely argumentative. I understand that my family member has several preexisting medical conditions, so I try my best to review the notes from the many doctors involved and understand the different care plans. I understand that things can become confusing along the way. However, when I tried to bring up concerns about my family member’s medication list and asked to review it, I was met with pushback and an argument. I eventually had to take my family member to a follow-up appointment with their treating doctor. The doctors were not happy with the care my family member had received, so they provided me with new notes and instructions to bring back to the rehab facility. When I returned, the nurses asked how the appointment went. I tried to explain that the doctors were not satisfied with the care being provided. Instead of listening to my concerns, they insisted that they were doing everything correctly, and once again, a nurse immediately became argumentative with me. Not one nurse asked to see the notes from the doctor’s visit. If you are looking for a battlefield, this is the place for you. That’s all I’ll say. I still have the doctors’ notes, and they also confirmed my concerns that the medication may have been administered incorrectly. This could have been addressed much sooner if I had simply been allowed to review the medication list and discuss my concerns. I was also told that labs were being done every day. However, given the way my concerns were handled, someone will have to answer why my family member is now admitted to the hospital with abnormally low potassium and sodium levels. To all the care personnel that were arguing with me. You and I can get emotional but at the end of the day it’s facts and figures that make sense. And I think you all have to go back to school if you don’t have that knowledge.

My Mom is being taken care of very well. The people are so kind. The activities people are awesome and give a lot of attention to the residents. The lunches are very good and she eats pretty well here. You’re going to have issues everywhere, but at least they are addressed when I ask. All in all, Im happy that she landed here. I appreciate all the people who work at Cooper River Post Acute.

We recently moved mom here from a less friendly place in Mount pleasant. The staff here is excellent and kind and patient. The ladies in the activity room really care about the people. And the food is good too

It was a great stay .. Everyone treated me very well. Now I’m leaving. It was great. God bless you all.

Erick in the kitchen his food is flavorful I get better food here than I would in a restaurant. Krystal in Physical Therapy is amazing. I am doing so much better since I got here. Azam and the staff are the best.

I am giving 5 stars specifically to Roberta Riley. She worked tirelessly to assist our family to discharge my brother with ease & arrange transport for him. She helped to relieve the anxiety of getting him to his very important appointment following discharge. Her help was invaluable & we are so appreciative.

Hey y’all, I’m up here in Cooper River postacute I’mma tell you it’s been inexperience, but the staff here is very very very good. I love a lot of the staff here. It’s been true and good to me. They’re caring and they are very supportive so if you ever need to have to come into a facility keep in mind Cooper River postacute you can’t go wrong. I have been here and it’s been a great experience. Thank you.

Everyone at Cooper River has been very nice and helpful during my stay here. This has been a great experience during a such a trying time and if I had to make the decision to come here again in the future, I would.

Emily and Roberta are the very best case workers. I enjoyed my stay here. I spent time with the nurses and in activities and enjoyed it! There is a lot of love here from and for the residents!

You know that rare feeling when everything just goes right? That’s exactly what happened here. The staff were amazing, the service was flawless, and my stress level dropped by at least 80%.

The place is a DISGRACE!!!!!! Smells of urine and god knows what else, animals get treated better . No excuses for the conditions!! It needs to be shutdown!!!!!! I feel like I caught something there!! I will be contacting the health department!!! Nasty place

I would encourage families to carefully research this facility before placing a loved one here. My father was admitted for continued treatment of an active infection requiring IV antibiotics. Despite this, he went 19 hours and 57 minutes without receiving his prescribed IV antibiotic, even though the treatment was supposed to continue without interruption after his hospital discharge. During his stay, we also experienced delayed medications, poor communication, difficulty getting answers from management, and concerns regarding the overall quality of care provided. The most concerning issue was the nearly 20-hour gap in critical medication for a patient being treated for an infection. No family should have to worry about whether their loved one is receiving necessary medications after being admitted for continued medical treatment. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this facility.

We had a very good experience with Cooper River Post Acute Care. I will recommend this place to anyone.

Upon arriving as soon as you enter the building after signing in and opening the door to gain entry you are assaulted by the mixed smell of urine and body funk. My sister asked me to bring a case of water because they gave her Ice and tap water from her room sink They do not wipe down light switches and door knobs until she mentioned to them about the matter She gets her medication two to three hours and ten minutes late she has major surgery and is constant pain because the meds are managed correctly Per Meditation management, a person only has one hour before and after prescribed time to take her pain meds Night time is the worst My other female Relative who is over 70 years old fell twice and waited over an hour for someone to check on her She fell on her knees and second time hit her head She was not even checked out by a doctor to make sure she has an injury from hitting her head on the floor This is neglect of a senior and will be reported to state No beds in the facility have bed rails when asked that is how it is Several patients have fallen out of the bed Roaches are in some of the bedrooms they run out of supplies to assist residents Staff trying to diagnosis’ the residents and say they are being dramatic and have simple fractures when this particular person had a surgery to reattach her foot to her leg Other residents they talk to them like they do not deserve respect or do not know what they are talking about in regard pain level and what is going with their bodies The staff yell at them like children and tell them if they do not like it here then leave What??!!! The first night staff told her when she has urinated in her adult diaper take off and drop on the floor she will get it in the morning Staff said she was 54 and her knee hurt so she could not assist her right now Night shift only has one nurse and one Cna to administers medications to about twenty residents They say they are understaffed and can not do anything about it but daytime before 8 pm is full of people and The weekend scarcely has any staff They do not make beds or clean the rooms daily We had to bring in cleaning supplies to clean her room. This place needs to be shut down asap!!! Call adult services DSS!!!

Went there to visit a family friend.and she can not feed her self but her tray was on her table ,no one came to feed her or even check on her the hole time we where ther…being a cna my self i fed ,washed her up and charged her..please check on your loveone because cna in this generation don’t care .poor place to have a loveone!!!!

I’m a private in home caregiver. My client just left this place after a month in rehab after an illness. I still went to work everyday with my client over her month long stay there. In my professional opinion, I would recommend this place. We had the best experiences there. Let me give an huge shout out to the activities ladies. They were on top of their game and came to my client’s room to remind her about activities to go to like bingo and live music. I have had other clients in nursing homes and rehab centers, and they have never had that much personal attention as the activities ladies gave my client from day one. They really do go above and beyond to try to get their clients out of the room and socializing, which is amazing for people‘s mental health. Emily and Katie were amazing as her physical therapists. She was kicking butt and walking better than before because of them! We even joked that my client can now walk a 5K with her walker. They gave my client attention and were very encouraging. Loved the team on our section, we were on A by the gym. The nurses and cna teams were fantastic. They were so kinda and took the time with my client to listen to her (my client is a talker). The food was great and the green beans were amazing. They even had a family & friends Thanksgiving last week which was beautiful. My client even made friends because the other people that lived there were so sweet. My client loved the team there so much that as we were leaving today she made us go around to tell everyone who made her feel safe and comfortable goodbye, which was pretty much everyone.

Had a good stay here. Therapy was great. Feeling much better after staying here a few weeks.
